Assessing engagement in a family planning education and navigation intervention: preliminary findings with men in substance-use treatment

In this presentation, we will describe the adaptation and acceptability of a health educator navigation intervention focused on family planning with men in substance use treatment in a safety-net healthcare system. This study found high engagement and acceptability with the intervention, a desire to integrate family planning services in SUD treatment settings, and improved linkages to healthcare services. Results can inform intervention efforts to promote sexual health and family planning services for those in treatment.
