The receipt of a Department of Justice grant catalyzed the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE) and community leaders to understand motivating factors for parents and pregnant mothers in recovery, referral system gaps, and interventions. Literature reviews, quality improvement methods, and interviews with parents in recovery informed decisions. Using data to drive action is not a one size fits all solution; it takes multiple methods and requires the collaboration of diverse partnerships.
